Cinnamon Roll Biscuits (13 oz)
Like a 10 minute cinnamon roll --warm!
They're like cinnamon rolls, almost--hot, sweet, and cinnamony. But they only take minutes. They're loaded with gourmet cinnamon chips in a soft, light, sugary biscuit--with a burst of cinnamon in every bite. You're ready to send the kids to school.
- What are these? They're sweetened breakfast biscuits loaded with cinnamon chips.
- How good are they? They're really good--like a warm cinnamon roll that's simple to make.
- Why do they look different in the images? It's how they were placed on the baking sheet. If you place the biscuits close together, they rise together. When you tear the biscuits apart, you see the melted chips.
-
Do customers say they are good? Yep. All but two gave it a five-star rating. The two four stars found the dough a little sticky. They still liked them. We're testing them to see if we need to make them a little less sticky. Hang with us; maybe try a tiny bit less water.
- What happens if I use less water? Well, the softer the dough the higher they'll rise. That's why we push them to the limit. Maybe just barely reduce the water.
- What do they taste like? Like your grandma's cinnamon rolls, but without the work.
- How much work are they? Not much. They're just biscuits. Add water, make the biscuits, and bake.
- What do the cinnamon chips taste like? Bright and sweet, they taste like at least part Saigon cinnamon. Love those cinnamon chips!
- Do I have to worry about the chips melting in shipment? No. The chips are buried in the flour. That protects them.
- Are they just for breakfast? No, they're great anytime, for breakfast or a dessert.

What else can I make with them?
These are cinnamon chip strawberry shortcakes: Cinnamon chip biscuits baked, split apart, and stuffed with strawberries and caramel whipped cream. The whipped cream is made with caramel flavor instead of vanilla and brown sugar instead of granulated sugar.

- Split them open. Make PB&J's on these biscuits.
- Whip cream cheese and strawberry jam together to stuff between the layers
- Make a fancy whipped cream and load them on your biscuits.

I believe this will be a nice play on a bread that I already make just makes a little bit easier for me so I’m hoping this is as good as expected if so will definitely purchase again
I have enjoyed getting to know these bread mixes. My favorite is cranberry nut. A couple of them, rye and Alaskan sourdough have not risen well before baking as I expected them to do. I understand when my recipes don't work but not these. I'll have to try baking them in bread pans and watching the rise instead of letting the bread machine complete the bake.
I've ordered 4 times now as I buy weekly specials. It's been really fun to share these with my 18 year old granddaughter. She's loves that I buy these mixes for her to use with me. Her favorite is English muffin raised bread.
I have purchased this biscuit mix from The Prepared Pantry for several years and the mix is foolproof, the biscuits are delicious. Sometimes I add more cinnamon chips that can be purchased separately from TPP because I love cinnamon, but nothing needs to be added to this mix. They turn out perfect every time and always get rave reviews when served. Highly recommend.
Prepared as directed. I found this mix made dry, flour flavored biscuits that crumbled too easily. Spreading apple butter on split biscuit made them more edible. Sorry, really looked forward to them.
Great breakfast treat that's quick easy to make and goes well with morning coffee
