This is as authentic as any New York deli!
And you can make it in your kitchen!
Oh, you're good! You need to show this off to your friends. It's amazing that you can make bread like this from your bread machine. It's a crusty, chewy rye bread with lots of rye flavor, a sourdough-like sharpness, and just enough dill. It makes great deli sandwiches. It even makes a chewy, crunchy toast.
Melissa, our New York baker, knows rye bread--she graduated from a culinary school in New York. She designed this bread for us based on her favorite dill rye bread. It is authentic and it is very good.
Now your kitchen just became your family's favorite deli.

If you make this bread in your bread machine, water temperature is critical. Please use a thermometer to measure water at exactly 80 degrees. A ten-degree difference in water temperature can double the growth rate of the yeast. These bread mixes are satisfaction guaranteed when you use a thermometer.
