Caramel Flavor by Marsden & Bathe, 2 oz. (with instructions for Caramel Whipped Cream)
From waffles to desserts, caramel whipped cream makes it way better!
Use this to make caramel and caramel nut whipped cream, and to replace vanilla in any dessert!
Directions for caramel whipped cream follow.
Caramel whipped cream is divine. Plain vanilla is plain. Caramel is a way different experience.
Caramel nut takes it even further--a touch of salt against the sweet--like salted caramel-- and the softness of the whipped cream against the crunch of the nuts. It elevates any dessert.
"This is my secret ingredient to my baking. Instead of vanilla, I use caramel flavor in cookies for an added twist. I also use it in whipped cream to complement desserts." --Sherry Jarvis
How to Make Caramel Whipped Cream
Simply substitute caramel for vanilla. If you want your whipped cream to hold its shape longer, add a couple of tablespoons of meringue powder. It retards melting. The following recipe can be modified for sweetness. This is how we make it.
- 2 cups extra heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons meringue powder (a stabilizer)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons Marsden & Bathe Caramel Flavor
Whip the cream, meringue powder, and brown sugar together until they form soft peaks. Add the caramel flavor and whip until stiff peaks form.
With the meringue powder, the whipped cream will hold its shape for several hours.
For Caramel Nut Whipped Cream.
Use salted snacking nuts. The salt is important. Chop them into small pieces and fold them into the whipped cream.
