A big batch of very good cookies, moist and chewy and loaded with rum raisins.
These are great everyday cookies, something that won't make you feel guilty. And with oats and raisins, you can eat one and stop. They're just a good midday snack.
Thirty-six cookies is a lot of cookies, especially if you're eating then one at a time. Consider baking some and freezing some.
Makke 36 dough balls. Bake 12 of them and put the rest in a flat plastic container with a lid and freeze them. When you're ready for another batch, get another dozen out, let them thaw, and bake them.
Three batches from one mix.
So good and so many!
Absolutely delicious, quick to make, and one mix makes at least three dozen. These are the real deal! --Janet Dankert
These are authentic, homestyle, classic cookies. They're homemade and wholesome.
- What makes these better than other raisin cookies? I would like to think it's the rum raisins--and that's good--but I think it's the recipe.
- What makes the recipe so good? It's just right. The cookies spread just right, are chewy and moist, and have plenty of raisins. They check all the boxes.
- What about the raisins? Well, they're still raisins, and they taste like raisins, but our guys in Chicago came up with just the right flavor to put with them. And there are lots of them.
- How many will I make? You should get 36 but it depends on how big you make them, a big batch.
- How long will they last? They're best fresh. Put whatever you won't eat in the first two days in the freezer. Or freeze dough balls.
- Are they easy to make? Yes, they're drop cookies from a mix. You add butter and eggs.
