It's amazing what you can make with this filling, from Strawberry Rice Krispies treats, to strawberry cream-filled cupcakes, to strawberry cheesecake bars.

We'll show you how. Wouldn't you like to make strawberry cupcakes like the bakers?

You'll find 27 suggestions on this page. Won't your family and friends be delighted with what you can make?

Let's get started!

Strawberry Cream Chocolate Cupcake

This cupcake is filled with both strawberry and Bavarian cream fillings.

  1. Insert the Bavarian Cream into the cupcake as shown below, but use only half the amount you would for a single filling.
  2. Insert the strawberry filling into the same hole, using only half as much as you would for a single filling.

The two fillings will be swirled together.  The cupcake is made with a cream cake mix with chocolate pieces. The hole will be covered with frosting. See the image below.

Strawberry Rice Krispies Treats

See how to make these below.

Strawberry Sweet Rolls

Raspberry Sweet Roll

These are made with our sweet roll mix. Instead of stuffing the rolls with cinnamon sugar, spread the pastry filling over the dough before rolling it and slicing. (If some of the filling leaks out when slicing, insert it back into the rolls with a spoon before baking.)

The rolls were spaced apart on a baking sheet. If you want pull-apart rolls, squeeze them into a prepared 9x13-inch pan. Let them rise until very puffy before baking.

Baked Filled Donuts

These were made with our Spudnut Donut Mix, but instead of deep-frying them, they were formed and baked just like dinner rolls.

After baking, a slit was poked in the sides of the donuts with a paring knife. The pastry filling comes in a pastry bag-shaped dispensing bag. Clip the end off, insert the bag, and squeeze.

This is not a pie filling; it is a pastry filling. It is meant for pastries and is too concentrated for most pies.

"Another yummy filling with endless possibilities. It’s great for thumbprint cookies, between cake layers, the center or top of cupcakes and so many other desserts."  Nancy G.

"This is the best strawberry filling. I’ve purchased strawberry filling from several different sellers from Amazon, and they were not even close to tasting as good as your filling. . . . once I tried all the other brands . . . I came across your website and was so happy to find it. Now I have only purchased it in your store. My family loves it. I highly recommend this filling."   N.T.

"I just used this strawberry filling for the first time in my grandchildren's breakfast crepes( crepe mix from Prepared Pantry). It was a big hit. The kids love the crepes with the different fillings, all from the Prepared Pantry. I tried a crepe with this filling, and it was delicious. This is a real keeper." Carole Nolan

Questions about Pastry Fillings

  • Is this what pastry chefs use? Yes. We buy it wholesale from a baker's supply company.
  • Do I need a pastry bag to use it? No. It comes in a plastic pouch that is shaped like a pastry bag. Clip the corner and squeeze just as you would a pastry bag.
  • How big is it? It comes in a two-pound pack. Since it's concentrated, you'll make a lot of pastries.
  • What do I do with the extras? To store leftovers, fold the clipped corner over, secure it with a paper clip, and refrigerate the leftover filling. Use the leftover fillings within six months.

From the Bake Shop

"I have worked in a professional bakery for over twenty years and have used the same pastry fillings. These are the best you can buy,"  --Pam Early

Remember all those rows of cream-filled cupcakes and pastries at your favorite bakery? This is exactly what your baker uses to make his pastries quickly and easily. With these professional fillings, you can make the same pastries and filled cupcakes that he makes. Look at what you can make.

For precision piping right from the bag, snip just the clip off the tip so that you have a small hole, no larger than a dime.  The smaller the hole, the more precise the filling.

"I was surprised at just how large the squeeze pack was - great value. HOWEVER, it's the taste that will have me buying this again. It Was Fabulous!"  Jill

    How to Make Filled Cupcakes

    how to fill a cupcake

Your pastry bag has a tapered end. Clip off the tip. You're now ready to fill cupcakes.

You don't need to cut a hole in the cupcake; just poke the tip of the bag into the center of the cupcake and squeeze as below. The cupcake will swell as it fills, and if you are holding it, you'll feel a change in its heft. It may surprise you how much can go into a cupcake.

If you are making a batch, work quickly down the row, filling each cupcake. After a little practice, you can fill two hundred cupcakes in an hour.

You are now ready to frost your cupcakes.

How to Make Strawberry Rice Krispies Treats

These treats are flavored with a strawberry pastry filling. You’ll never go back to the plain variety. The pastry filling adds sweetness and flavor. Of course, you can use fillings other than strawberry.

These treats have extra miniature marshmallows pressed into the tops while they are still warm. Candies or cake decorations can also be added.

After the treats have cooled, butter the sides of a cookie cutter and cut into shapes. They don't have to be heart-shaped--say little bunnies for the kids.  Or let the kids help with holiday treats at Christmas.

    Ingredients

    • 4 tablespoons butter
    • 4 cups miniature marshmallows
    • Pink food color, optional
    • 3/4 cup Strawberry Pastry Fillling
    • 6 cups Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal or equal

    Directions

    Butter a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.

    1. In a large pan on the stovetop, melt the butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows. Stir until the mixture is melted and smooth. Add the filling and stir. If the marshmallow and jam mixture is not flavorful enough, add some strawberry flavor. If it is not pink enough, add some color.
    2. Add the rice cereal. Stir until the cereal is uniformly combined with the marshmallow mixture.
    3. Remove the mixture to the buttered pan. Evenly distribute the mixture and press it down into the pan with buttered fingers, a piece of waxed paper, or a spatula. Let cool and cut into squares.
