How To Bake
. . . We took apple pastry filling, spread between two slices of homemade bread, preferably Pumpkin Walnut Bread, and slowly cooked it on the griddle. It's marvelous, especially with the pumpkin bread. The earthiness of the pumpkin bread matches the pie-like apple filling perfectly.
Buttermilk syrup is unique with a tone of caramel spiked with a touch of butterscotch. Caramel flavored whipped cream is the crowning touch. I like walnuts and their crunch with whipped cream, so I'm likely to add a handful of chopped nuts.
It's a great breakfast. No, it's a great treat, good enough for dessert and good any time of year.
Sometimes you just don't have time for the oven to heat up. You need cookies now. Sometimes you don't want to heat up the kitchen. Sometimes you just want to mix and enjoy--or mix and treat the kids. You need no bake cookies.
If you haven't heard of overnight baked French toast, this is a great introduction. You can make it in advance, up to three days, in the evening—so no busy mornings. On the morning of your event, take it out of the fridge and pop it in the oven. All the work is done.

You can make your biscuits from scratch or from a mix. If you use a just-add-water biscuit mix, you don’t have to stop and measure. You don’t have to cut the butter into the flour with a pastry knife. Just add water, form, and bake.
You can also make your gravy from scratch although a just-add-water gravy mix makes it super easy; you can do it on the stovetop. Sauté the burger or sausage and maybe a little onion and add it to the gravy.
