Lemon Whippersnappers Cookie Mix

Makes like a snickerdoodle. Tastes like a lemon.

SKU: C111-1

If you love lemon pie and lemon bars, buy this cookie mix.

These cookies are soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside.

They are easy to make. Make them like snickerdoodles, but roll them through the amber sugar crystals provided rather than cinnamon sugar.

Each mix makes about 36 cookies, depending on the size you choose.

What you need to know about your lemon cookies

  • How lemony are these cookies? I found them very lemony. But like with chocolate, everyone's taste varies.  We've run taste tests in classes we've taught. Knowing how people's tastes vary, I would say these are a "7" on a scale of ten.
  • How do your customers rate the lemon flavor?  As of this writing, one in six says it could use more lemon. The others liked them as they are.
  • How do you make them? Like snickerdoodles. Only these are rolled in raw sugar instead of cinnamon sugar.
  • Is the texture the same? No, these are denser and chewier.
  • So, do you make them the same? Just like snickerdoodles.

How do you make these cookies last three weeks?

Make three batches, a dozen each.

Make the dough balls and put them in a plastic container in the freezer. Store the extra sugar in the cupboard.

When you're ready for another batch, take a dozen dough balls out, roll them through the sugar, and space them on a baking sheet. When the doughballs thaw, stick them in the oven. (If you put them in early, they will take longer to bake.)

Preso! Three batches of cookies in three weeks. When you want them!

—Featured Review—

Love the Lemon Whippersnapper cookie mix! In fact, I love it so much that I took the cookies to a church thing.
So, they were quickly gone, and folks asked, "Did you bake these?"
Proud of myself, I'd reply, "Yes, I did!" (Not a lie, but not the whole story, either).
Now, a few folks have asked for the recipe, and I guess I'm going to have to 'fess up! --Jeff Hudson
