Swedish Vanilla Almond Bread Mix

• This is a fun bread. You can do so much with it--toast and jam, french toast, and even sandwiches.
• Loaded with slivered almonds. After baking, it's almond nuggets everywhere!
• Kneading breaks the slivered pieces into hundreds of smaller nuggets-chewy little nuggets in every bite.
• Baking softens the almond pieces, making them chewy--not hard and crunchy.
• The bread is slightly sweet, which is perfect with the vanilla flavor and a touch of cinnamon in the background.

You need a Swedish experience!  This is a fantastic bread!

This recipe is based on Swedish Egg Bread. It's rich and soft, not too sweet, touched with vanilla and studded with almond nuggets.

I took a loaf home. It makes fantastic bread pudding, but I used it with jam for morning toast. I used the whole loaf, mostly with strawberry jam.  I loved the softened almond nuggets with the strawberry jam.  It's a special bread.
