You'll make a generous 9 x 5-inch loaf from this package. (Use a standard large bread pan.) Eggs, oil, and bananas are not included. Use ripe bananas, riper ones have more flavor.

- Step 1: Make the banana bread according to package instructions the night before and refrigerate it. Banana bread is better after it's been in the refrigerator overnight.
- Step 2: Prepare an egg wash as you would for other French toast, with eggs and a little milk. Cut the banana bread into thick slabs. Dip the banana bread in the egg wash, covering both sides.
- Step 3: Use a wide spatula to handle the slices without breaking apart. Cook well on one side at medium-low heat before turning. Serve hot with warm syrup.

Be careful! You'll get so much praise and desire for this bread that you'll be kept busy baking enough to meet the demands of family and friends. It is, in a word, GREAT! I always add the optional half cup of crushed walnuts to put the frosting on the cake - so to speak. I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't say that it is the "best" that they've ever eaten. I can't help being a repeat customer 'cuz its that good.
