This burger is not for the faint of heart but for those once-in-a-great-while splurges, it is excellent. It’s a meat lover’s burger made with a mixture of ground pork, country sausage, and bacon. Ingredients 4 Kaiser Rolls 1 pound deli roast beef Your favorite barbecue sauce Directions 1. Cut roast beef in two-inch pieces and place in a small frying pan. Drench beef with barbecue sauce. Heat to bubbling and allow it to simmer while you prepare the buns. 2. Slice the rolls almost all the way through, leaving a “hinge.” Spread the buns with butter and place them under a broiler until they start to brown around the edges. Fill generously with the barbecue beef. Serve hot with coleslaw or potato salad.

When we went to the internet to learn more about them, we found only heritage recipes, often recipes originating a hundred years ago. Some were made with yeast and some with baking powder.
