This is a classic white bread with a mild, unique taste that will remind you of a continental bread. It works well for toast, meals, or sandwiches. Try it for breakfast with honey or preserves. This bread has more substance than the nearly flour-only mixes often found in stores. In addition to the potatoes, it is enriched with plenty of milk, and eggs to give the bread a full, rich, texture and taste. Baker's Note: This bread keeps particularly well. Flour products dry out and become stale. Bakers often add potato flour because it is hygroscopic--that is, it absorbs moisture from the air and retards staling. Breads and pastries made with potatoes stay fresh longer. Ingredients: Enriched wheat flour (wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, and folic acid), milk (nonfat dry milk), sugar, potatoes (potato flour), salt, yeast (yeast, monostearate), and dough conditioner added for better baking (wheat flour, dextrose, soy flour, calcium salts, dicetyl tartaric acid esters of mono- and diglycerides, ethoxylated mono- and diglycerides, soy lecithin, ascorbic acid, L-cysteine monohydrochloride, fungal enzymes, azodicarbonamide, and calcium iodate). This product contains wheat, soy, and dairy products and may contain traces of eggs, peanuts, or tree nuts.
