Dear ${token1},

We love crêpe desserts; they are easy, versatile, and pretty.

Last year we dedicated an issue to the making of crêpes.  Now we would like to show you how to make more desserts with crêpes.

In this issue, you'll find luscious desserts like Raspberry Vanilla Custard Crêpes, Coconut Mango Paradise Blintzes, and Crêpe Sundaes.  You'll also find great deals up to 50% off on tools, syrups, and more.

Thanks for joining us,

Dennis & Merri Ann Weaver

How to Make Crêpes

Crêpes are made in a small, flat frying pan.   They are easy to do.  Here we will tell you how to make crêpes including chocolate crêpes, troubleshooting crêpes, how to fold your crêpes, and how to store your crêpes--everything you need to know.

How to Make
Strawberry Blintzes

We love strawberry pie and strawberry shortcake but maybe our favorite springtime dessert is strawberry blintzes and it’s easier than either pies or shortcakes.

Crêpe Sundaes

These are really good.  The ice cream contrasts very well with crêpes--like a cake and ice cream.  The kids will get a kick out of them and they are fancy enough for guests.

Build them like a sundae but enclose the ice cream in the crêpe.  Use rock hard ice cream and your dessert will stay frozen nicely.  We fold our crêpes around the ice cream in blintz fashion.

Enjoy!

Favorite Crêpe
Dessert Recipes

Use your imagination when making crêpe desserts.  You can fill them or top them with almost anything:  Cream cheese-based fillings, custard and curd fillings, fruit fillings, and even ice cream.

These are recipes that we introduced last year but they are certainly worth revisiting and adding them to your kitchen library.

How to Make
an Easy Fruit Sauce

You can make a nice fruit sauce by cooking a sugar syrup and then adding fresh or individually frozen fruit.  The recipe follows.

It's even easier to warm up some fruit syrup in the microwave and add a handful of fresh or individually frozen fruit.  Because you are adding fruit to a fruit syrup instead of sugar syrup, the flavor is more intense.

From Our Kitchen: What We Used

Cream syrups and fruit syrups. The coconut cream syrup was fantastic on the Coconut Mango Paradise Crêpes.  Use "Fruit4u" at checkout for a 20% discount.

Crêpe pans Crêpes are easier with a crêpe pan.  Get both a pan and "My Favorite Spatula" for only $10.99.

Krona cookware. The more we use our Krona cookware the more we love it.

High heat spatulas. We used our high heat spatulas to not only stir but to scrape the bottom and sides of the pan.

Hazelnut Fudge Ice Cream Topping.   This is a deep, dark chocolate topping made with ground hazelnuts.   The fudge topping was like a flourless chocolate cake in a bottle and matched the elegance of the crêpes perfectly.

Nut choppers. A nut chopper made quick work of the nuts we used.  Get a plunger-type or hand crank-type.  From $4.89.
