The ten bean blend offers a colorful variety of beans. It's great in your favorite bean soup recipes, cold bean salads, or even casserole. Ten bean blend is versatile and easy to use.

This ten bean blend includes a colorful mix of beans in colors of black, forest green, yellow, reddish-brown, beige, and brown. It is a very versatile product that can be used in your favorite bean recipes whether it's soup, cold bean salads, or casseroles.

To prepare them soak overnight. Rinse and place in a large pot and cover with fresh water. Bring water to a boil for 3 minutes, reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 2 hours until tender.One cup dry yields 2-1/4 cups cooked.

This blend contains:
  • black turtle beans
  • light red kidney beans
  • Canary Mayacoba Beans
  • Appaloosa Beans
  • Flageolet Beans
  • Cranberry (Borlotti) Beans
  • Jacob's Cattle Trout Beans
  • Blackeye Peas (Beans)
  • French Navy Beans
  • Cannellini Beans

Ten Bean Soup With Turkey Sausage Recipe

1 Lb 10 Bean Blend
1 Lb Turkey Italian Sausage, Sliced Into 1 In Pieces
1 Large Onion, Diced
1 Green Bell Pepper, Diced
1 Red Bell Pepper, Diced
4 Cloves Garlic, Minced
1 12 Ounce Can Diced Tomatoes
1 6 Ounce Can Tomato Sauce
1/4 Teaspoon Hot Red Pepper Flakes
2 Bay Leaves
1/4 Teaspoon Fresh Ground Black Pepper
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
8 Cups Water Or Chicken Stock

In a stock pot, saute onion and sausage in olive oil until sausage is lightly browned. Add garlic and bell peppers. Saute an additional 2 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a low simmer. Cover and cook for 2 to 3 hours, until beans are tender, stirring occasionally.
Serve with grated parmesan cheese and crusty Italian bread.
