Sirloin Fajitas
Fajitas are easy, quick, and delicious. You can buy simmer sauces at The Prepared Pantry or from many grocery stores. Salsa may be substituted.
Ingredients
1/2 teaspoon South of the Border Taco Seasoning or equal
2 sirloin steaks
1/4 cup fresh lime juice, about two
1/2 simmer sauce of your choice
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 small sweet onion, sliced
4 to 6 medium flour tortillas, warmed
sour cream
guacamole
salsa
Directions
- Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the steaks. Cut the steaks into strips cutting across the grain.
- Sauté the sirloin strips in a skillet. Add the peppers and onions. Stir fry for a couple minutes. Add the simmer sauce and lime juice and simmer until the meat is cooked and the liquid is reduced.
- Spoon the filling into the warm tortillas. Add salsa, sour cream, and guacamole to taste. Serve hot.
