A mezzaluna is an Italian knife with a rounded blade. It's perfect for food preparation--chopping, dicing, and mincing of veggies and meats. It's quicker and safer than a straight-bladed knife. We have used round-bladed knives for years and love them.
To use these knives, place the food on a cutting board and rock the blade back and forth to quickly chop whatever is on the board. Because you never lift the blade but rock the knife across the board, it's quick and safe.
This mezzaluna is double quick with a double blade. It's a solid, heavy knife with a comfortable handle and two stainless steel blades set about 1/2 inch apart. It comes with a snap-on sheath to protect the cutting edges during storage.
