Chocolate chunks are bigger than chocolate chips.  The chocolate is extruded into sticks and then chopped off in 1/4 to 3/8-inch chunks.  In bigger chunks, you get a more intense chocolate experience.

Note: Chunks are made by extruding chocolate into a "rope" and then chopping into uniform lengths--not molded as chips are.  The chopping creates chocolate dust which adheres to the chunks and gives them a somewhat dusty appearance.  They are still first quality.
