The Wasatch Mountains, part of the Rocky Mountain chain, stretch from southern Idaho down through Utah. The western front is steep and craggy but the canyons are deep with pure streams tumbling from the high country. Along the streams are stands of wild chokecherries. It's along these streams in the Wasatch Mountains that the wild chokecherries for this syrup are picked--all purely natural and organic with no pesticides or preservatives.

Chokecherries are tart and pungent and make great syrup a little reminiscent of elderberries and may remind you a bit of loganberries. The syrup is a deep, dark red and very flavorful. It's made in small batches. There are no fillers, corn syrup, or preservatives. It's a great addition to your morning pancakes or waffles.
