Try this great dessert as a Caramel Buckle or with fruit.  Experiment with other fruits, sauces, and pie fillings.

The caramel streusel that you place on top of the batter swirls and buckles through the cake as it bakes for a very unusual and attractive dessert, snack, or coffeecake.  When you slice it, you find ribbons of crumbly caramel laced through a snow-white cake.  

When it's our turn to take a dessert to a church supper, this is what we take.  Katie, our daughter, says this is our best dessert and judging from the customer responses, we don't think she's wrong. 

Because no frosting is required, it's quick to make. It's easy, it looks terrific, and tastes delicious. Your family will want you to make this not-too-sweet dessert often.

This cake can be made by hand or with a stand-type mixer.  This mix will make a 9 x 9-inch dessert.
