The long handles create leverage so that you can easily force potatoes and other cooked foods through the sieve. There is no chance for lumpy potatoes. It's faster than a masher and makes consistent potatoes, applesauce, and baby food.

This potato ricer is perfect for light, fluffy mashed potatoes, chunky or smooth applesauce, or coarse or fine mashed vegetables.
Boil the potatoes and simply pass them through.
Extra long handles gives you the leverage to rice easily.

Editor's notes: This is a larger ricer than the Everyday Potato Ricer and a little smaller than the Commercial Potato Ricer. It is tinned while the Commercail Ricer is constructed of stainless steel and the Everyday Ricer is triple chrome plated. All are sturdy units and will give you many years of service. The Commercial Ricer is the nicest of the three. The sieve holes are about the same in all three.
