Debbie (our webmaster and newsletter guru) started something. She took a Monkey Bread to a Christmas party and loaded the center up with cream cheese frosting. The guests flocked to it, dipping pieces of Monkey Bread into the cream cheese frosting. Word spread—apparently cream cheese frosting converts a scrumptious Monkey Bread to The Ultimate Monkey Bread. We had to try it. The stories are true—there is such a thing as The Ultimate Monkey Bread.
Make your Monkey Bread according to the direction in the recipe or on the package and bake it in a bundt or tube pan. Then make your favorite cream cheese frosting or use our recipe below. Drizzle the top with frosting and partially fill the center cavity with cream cheese. Place your Monkey Bread in the center of the table and let guests dip pieces in the well of cream cheese frosting.
