The AVOW Storefront: Baking Mixes for Food Storage
 
Here you will find outstanding baking mixes vacuum packaged in Mylar for long term storage.  Mylar is a 500 times better oxygen barrier than plastic.  If these mixes are stored in a cool location, they should last several years.  (We have found our own mixes good after four years.) 
 
We have excluded mixes with nuts or chocolate since they don’t store as long in normal conditions.  You can find other mixes and other products elsewhere on our site.
 
Most of our bread mixes are sized for a bread machine but can be mixed on the counter and baked in an oven.
 
In the Featured Products and Specials section, you will find new products, products of special interest, and good deals.  You may find kitchen tools and gourmet foods as well as mixes.
 
Editor's note: Bread helpers are an excellent storage item for those who are storing bread or have a mill to grind your own wheat.  Bread helpers are packaged in Mylar.  You add flour.  Yeast and all other inclusions like dough conditioners, gluten, potato flour, honey, and grains are included in the helper.  It's a quick way to make excellent bread and you can make varieties like Garden Harvest Vegetable and English Muffin.
