We found these great apples in California. They are soft and flavorful and more like fresh apples. So we set out to make apple cinnamon bread. We used lots of apples, our best cinnamon, and a sweet apple flavor for the dough. The result was very good but we wanted something more . . . maybe a little orange zest. So we added just a touch of natural orange.

We thought the result was spectacular so we ran it by our testers. Very good . . . but maybe just a little more apple, some said. So we added a touch more apple. Perfect. We called it Knobby Apple Cinnamon Bread because the chunks of apple left little knobs across the top of the bread.

Each mix makes one large loaf--nearly two pounds. (Butter is not included.)

If you make this bread in your bread machine, water temperature is critical. Please use a thermometer to measure water at exactly 80 degrees. A ten degree difference in water temperature can double the growth rate of the yeast. These bread mixes are satisfaction guaranteed when you use a thermometer.

Ingredients: Enriched wheat flour (wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, and folic acid), dry apples (sulfate added as a preservative), sugar, dry milk solids, salt, natural and artificial flavors, spices, yeast (yeast, monostearate), and dough conditioner added for better baking (wheat flour, dextrose, soy flour, calcium salts, dicetyl tartaric acid esters of mono- and diglycerides, ethoxylated mono- and diglycerides, soy lecithin, ascorbic acid, L-cysteine monohydrochloride, fungal enzymes, azodicarbonamide, and calcium iodate). This product contains wheat, soy, and dairy products and may contain traces of eggs, peanuts, or tree nuts.

This is, by far, the most wonderful bread EVER. It's filled with soft apples and top quality ingredients, and the fragrance from my bread machine filled the house with the scent of apple pie. And it makes absolutely incredible French toast! I'm going to order half a dozen packages right now to make sure I never run out.

This was the first mix I ever purchased from Prepared Pantry. Wow will I be back for more. The house smelled like heaven. Outside it's a crisp autumn day and inside the fragrance of the cinnamon and apples in the bread machine made a perfect morning. Combine that with fresh juice and sausage and that equals perfection. I was surprised at the freshness of all the ingredients especially the apples. It was so easy and fast to get started in the machine. The texture was exactly right to support the fruit, not dense or chewy as you might expect. Thank you, Perfect Pantry! What a hit! If all the other mixes I bought are this delicious, you've got a loyal customer in me!

An excellent bread maker product. Very tasty. We add some raisins and vanilla to enhance it. Makes fantastic toast.

The Prepared Pantry makes the best bread in the country. A beginner can do this and not mess it up. Recipes for bread machines but I don't use one. I use my mixer and then if I choose I knead it. Makes your house smell wonderful. The only measuring is the water. They give specific instructions and you cannot fail. Easiest enough I usually make five different loaves a day. You can do that in less than an hour. They have great dried fruits just to snack on but they are supposed to go into the bread. This knobby Apple you could smell out to the street. They have all the supplies if you choose to make from scratch but why would you when this is so good and easy? You can use a bread machine but it's actually easier to do it with a mixer and let it rise all over the house. Just add butter, water or oil. They will help you with anything. I can not say one single bad thing about these people or their product. Price is good, product is better. Try just this one and you will be hooked, if not try the Herb focaccia. If that doesn't hook you, then you really don't like bread. I've never liked bread from a wrapper but this I eat every day.
