Ingredients: Enriched wheat flour (wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, and folic acid), sugar, pecan pieces, molasses (molasses, maltodextrin), rolled oats, natural and artificial flavors, baking powder, baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), and salt. This product contains wheat, soy, and nuts and may contain traces of dairy and egg products.

I had hoped these cookies would duplicate the maple butter pecan cookies at my favorite lunch spot. As they say: close but no cigar. I ordered two mixes. Loved the way the ingredients were packaged. Instructions are so simple my dog could follow them. (Warning: Closely watch the cookies in the oven. They go from perfect to brick-hard in a flash.) My first batch had a nice texture and looked good. But not the flavor I was looking for. For the second batch, I added vanilla and the taste improved greatly, but the addition made the cookies softer. Will I order again? Maybe. And maybe I'll try margarine instead of butter. I'm not a fan of soft cookies. Nor of bricks.

I bought this mix for gifts for the neighbors at Christmas, sounded different. Anyway I had one left and I made it up. SO YUMMY! The combination of the maple and the pecans is just wonderful. I'll be buying this mix for me and not just my neighbors.
